    A three-part asynchronous Sleep Medicine Virtual series worth 3 continuing education credits:

    What is Sleep?

    Dr. Bradley Vaughn will review the definitions of sleep and how it applies to humans while examining the determination of sleep in the sleep laboratory. Learners will gain an understanding of the function of the stages of sleep and review the major drivers of sleep within the brain.

    Overview of Pediatric Sleep Disorders

    Dr. Sujay Kansagra discusses developing a better understanding of mechanisms that regulate sleep and learning how to identify and treat common sleep disorders while also understanding the range of normal sleep.

    A Sleep Tech’s Guide to EKG Basics

    Jeffery “Ryan” Spruill discusses how to recognize a normal cardiac rhythm including ECG rates and intervals while also understanding how the electrical pathway of the heart affects ECG tracings. Learners will be able to identify and know the proper responses of abnormal cardiac rhythms.
